KSON-FM, San Diego’s #1 for New Country | Teachers Are Heroes

Teachers Are Heroes
Presented by Azusa Pacific University
About Teachers Are Heroes
Since 2001, the Lincoln Financial Media stations of San Diego; Easy 98.1, KSON and FM94/9 have partnered with Azusa Pacific University for the 'Teachers Are Heroes' program. Listeners have told us heartfelt stories of teachers going above and beyond their jobs in creating a life-long love for learning in our children. Each school year, twelve teachers are selected by a panel of station and sponsor representatives to be recognized by the program. With the support of the San Diego County Office of Education, we visit the schools and make a presentation at an all-school assembly. The essay nomination is read aloud in front of the student body, faculty and visiting parents.
