How does
KSON's Double Your Paycheck work?
KSON will announce one name, Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday
at 8:15am, 12:15pm
and 4:15pm.
On Thursdays, KSON will announce
one name per hour, EVERY HOUR from 8:15am
to 5:15pm.
The person whose name is announced over the air
has 30 minutes to call 570-1973 (from any San
Diego County area code) to win their prize. KSON
will double the weekly paycheck of each winner
by matching one weeks gross salary up to
$1,250.
Do I have
to re-signup for Double Your Paycheck?
We never take anyone out of Double Your Paycheck
so if you registered previously, you are still
eligible. However, if you want to be eligible
for Thursdays in hours other than what
you registered for, you should sign up
again. (For instance, if you registered for 8:15am
and 12:15pm previously, those are the only hours
on Thursday where you name could be called.)
Go
to our signup form, which will also allow you
to verify your entry if you entered previously..
Any restrictions
on who can play?
You must be 18 years of age or older, and a San
Diego County Resident.
If a friend
or family member hears my name, can they call
for me?
No, only the person whose name is called is eligible
for the prize.
Do you post
a list of names that have been called?
No, for security reasons we don't list the names.
If you call
my name, and I don't call, could my name be called
again?
Yes, a name can be called more than once. We do
not remove names from the contest once they have
been called.
How many times
can I win?
Since we never remove names from the contest,
your name could be randomly chosen again. There
is no restriction on the number of times you can
win.
How do you
determine how much I win?
KSON will determine the winners weekly salary
by averaging the winners previous 5 weekly
pay stubs. (If the winner is paid on a 2-week
period, the previous two pay stubs will be averaged).
Pay stubs must be dated from the 3-week period
prior to winning the contest.
What if I
am currently unemployed?
You would receive the minimum prize amount of
$500.
What if I'm
retired, or a homemaker?
You would receive the minimum prize amount of
$500.
What if I
work, but make less than $500 a week?
You would still receive the minimum prize amount
of $500.
What is the
most I can receive?
We match one week's gross salary up to $1,250.
Will you take
taxes out of my winnings?
No, that's up to you. By law, though, we are required
to report the amount you win if it's more than
$600 annually.
