NASHVILLE -- Taylor Swift becomes Historic Winner at the 2009 Country Music Association Awards!
Taylor Swift was overcome by emotion as she did it, she ran the board taking all four awards she was up for this year, Album of the year, Fearless, Female Vocalist, Music Video of the Year for "Love Story," and the big one, Entertainer of the Year, the youngest ever nominated for that award at age 19, and the youngest to win the top honor.
Brad Paisley gathered his third consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year award, while Darius Rucker took home the trophy for New Artist of the Year. Rucker becomes only the second African-American to win a CMA Award, following Charlie Pride who was named Entertainer and Male Vocalist in 1971.
Below is the list of 2009 nominees and award recipients. See 2008.
