Another year’s awards show has come and gone as the top acts in country music were honored at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, April 3rd. The event was again hosted by Reba McEntire, who was joined by Blake Shelton.
Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the big winners of 2011 were Taylor Swift as Entertainer of the Year and Miranda Lambert, who picked up four awards including Female Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year.
Other success stories this year included Brad Paisley as Male Vocalist of the Year and Sugarland as Top Vocal Duo of the Year. Meanwhile, Reba McEntire was chosen to receive the Career Achievement Award, Taylor Swift earned herself the Jim Reeves International Award and the movie "Country Strong" was selected as the recipient of the Tex Ritter Award.
The ACM lineup of performers during the course of the night included Sara Evans and Miranda Lambert while Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley and a teamup of Rihanna and Jennifer Nettles also graced the evening's festivities.
