Event Description:

The Helen Woodward Animal Center is asking for your help to shine a light on orphan pets waiting for forever homes. It's the 4th Annual Remember Me Thursday, a global awareness campaign to encourage communities to opt to adopt and reduce the millions of orphan pets euthanized each year. This year's Remember Me Thursday is September 22.

Don't miss the candle light ceremony from 5:45pm-7:00pm at Balboa Park, on 6th Avenue between El Prado and Juniper Street. There will be live music, kids coloring and crafts, food trucks, FREE Remember Me Thursday T-shirts to the first 100 adults and first 50 kids, FREE Remember Me Thursday bandanas to the first 25 dogs and much more.

To be a part of the 2016 Remember Me Thursday campaign, individuals and animal welfare organizations are encouraged to get the entire world talking about pet adoption by tweeting, tagging, posting and sharing the beauty and life-saving significance of pet adoption using the hashtags #RememberTheRescue and #RememberMeThursday.
