Fallback Historic Children's Street Faire

WHERE
· 4th & Island Ave, Downtown San Diego
WHEN
· Sunday, November 3, 2013
TIME
· 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

San Diego's #1 for New Country KSON invites you to join us for Fall Back, the annual children’s street faire held on the first Sunday of November (the end of Daylight Savings Time – when the clocks “fall back”) giving children and families the chance to “fall back” in time and experience what life was like in the mid- to late- nineteenth century when San Diego was a bustling new town.

Admission is FREE, but there are nominal fees required for some activities, such as the carnival rides.

Between old-fashioned festivities like pony rides and ice cream- and pie-eating contests, there are historical recreations and demonstrations with a “nineteenth-century” blacksmith plying his trade, prospectors teaching children how to pan for gold, butter churning and candle dipping demonstrations, and a Wild West shoot-out, to name a few.

Kids absorb history by simply observing and participating – and they love it!
