KSON Going Gold for Ireland

Ireland has battled more in 9 years than most have in a life time. Ireland was born a special child with Down Syndrome at 2 she had open heart surgery and at 3 on the school bus she had a massive stroke that left her partially paralyzed on her left side. The doctors said she would never talk or walk ever again. She had  to proved them wrong!!

In the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 Ireland started to get really sick all of the time, she was in and out of the hospital with pneumonia and just was not herself. The end of March school called and said she wasn't feeling well and I went and got her and within hours, she couldn't breath and was able to walk and we were in the ER at Rady's. Then that morning 4/1/14 she was diagnosed with Leukemia.

Leukemia is a 2 1/2 year process and because she was so weak she had to learn to walk all over again (this was her third time in 7 years having to learn how to walk). She is such an amazing warrior, she never gave up, she was sick a lot and she was in the hospital for a lot of her treatment. But my Wonder Woman on 6/22/16 took her last chemo and is now an cancer survivor!!

Mom, Nichole, joins us about her Wonder Woman:
